A Hybrid Solar System combines the benefits of both On-Grid and Off-Grid systems. During the day, solar panels power your loads and charge a battery bank simultaneously. Surplus energy is exported to the grid via net metering. During grid failures, the system seamlessly switches to battery power in milliseconds — with zero interruption.
Aureon Solar's hybrid installations use smart Energy Management Systems (EMS) that prioritise solar energy first, then battery, and only draw from the grid as a last resort — maximising self-consumption and minimising electricity costs.
Solar panels generate DC electricity. The hybrid inverter converts it to AC and powers all your loads first. Any surplus charges the battery bank.
Once batteries are fully charged (typically by midday), excess solar power is automatically exported to the TANGEDCO grid earning you net metering credits.
After sunset, the system draws power from batteries first, reducing grid consumption to near zero even at night for 6–12 hours depending on battery size.
When TANGEDCO power fails, the hybrid inverter disconnects from the grid in <20ms and switches to battery-powered island mode automatically — no UPS needed.
When grid power returns, the system resyncs automatically and resumes normal operation — charging batteries and exporting surplus energy.
